Turnusplan

Privacy notice

Turnusplan is a self-hosted tool for splitting chores privately within a shared house or dorm — not a commercial product. This page explains, in plain language, what data is collected and what it's used for. It isn't legal advice; whoever operates this instance should adapt the text as needed (e.g. contact details).

What data is collected?

  • Name and email address of residents — for magic-link sign-in and assignment on the rotation.
  • Verification photos (the proof photos for each turn): uploaded, sent once to the Claude API (Anthropic) for automatic "clean / not clean" review, then deleted immediately afterward. They aren't stored permanently.
  • Reference photos: example photos an admin sets once, showing what "clean" looks like for a given item. These stay stored permanently and are visible to all residents.
  • History data: timestamps, who was up when, which item was checked, and the result (passed / failed). Stored permanently in the log — without the photo.

Who gets to see the data?

  • All housemates see the shared log and who's currently up.
  • Supabase (database, sign-in, photo storage) hosts the application's data.
  • Anthropic (Claude API) receives the verification photo and, if set, the reference photo, solely for the automatic cleanliness check.
  • The instance's email provider delivers the sign-in link and the "you're up" notification.

How long is data kept?

  • Verification photos: only for the duration of the automatic check, deleted immediately after.
  • Reference photos and history data: for as long as the application is in use.
  • Account/resident data: until a person moves out of the house and is removed from the resident list by an admin.

Legal basis

Use is voluntary, within the private/household context of a shared house (household exemption), to organize shared cleaning duties -- not for commercial purposes.
